Always had vinyl coated rims. I Hate when they start peeling off because once it starts it doesn’t end until you replace them and that’s if you can find them.
I purchased the Newton air grips because of the description. No friction, peeling, cracking???? I’m sold.
    I’m glad I bought them…no I’m ecstatic!
Little smaller than traditional vinyl pushrims, but these have GRIP! Everything in the description is true. NO peeling or cracking, and they are so lightweight. I’m writing this because these pushrims literally changed my life overnight. Great product will buy another set with a color that makes my chair PoP.

One downside. They are metric not SAE so if you have older rims they are 1/8 to 1/4 inch off and need spacers between the tab and the rim. I used small washers to fill the gap. I was told to bend them into place but didn’t want to in case they became out or round.
