Price is not the only thing that matters when it comes to buying your new Spinergy FlexRim Wheelchair Wheels, great customer service is priceless!

Between the Spinergy LX Wheel and the aluminum pushrim resides the Wheelchair FlexRim which consists of a ruggedly tough high friction urethane surface. When you grip the FlexRim the eronomic shape of the urethane conforms to fit your hand, which provides an unequalled level of comfort from a pushrim.  Price is for a pair and includes standard gray tires.

Features:

  • Spoke Colors: Black, Yellow, White, Blue, Red, Orange, Pink, Purple & Green
  • Black Spokes are built on Silver Hubs, other spoke colors are built on Black hubs
  • Weight Limit: 250 lbs.
  • Low Impact – The FlexRim “flexes” to protect your hands and arms from impact loading.
  • Ergonomic Grip – The soft high friction urethane conforms to your hand, so gripping is easy.
  • Efficient – It takes less energy to push, so you can go further before getting fatigued.
  • Powerful – Get more power and coast from less push.
  • Lightweight – Adds less than 5 oz per wheel.
  • Safe – No gaps or metal tabs, so your thumb won’t get jammed or stuck in the pushrim.
  • Increased Access – Narrow doorways are a breeze with narrower pushrims that squeeze inward.
  • Hygienic – Keep your hands cleans by avoiding contact with the tire.
  • Priced per pair

I have a set of these wheels they are great in improving stability in the hand and reducing pain in the palms. I have only had them a few months and one has already worn thin which is not good.

I bought these wheels last year and though they work very good and are much lighter than the wheels that came with my Quickie wheelchair, the rubber part in between the wheel and the metal handrim is starting to tear in a couple spots. It would be nice if the rubber grip lasted more than a year before having to be replaced (which is expensive).

Advantages: Comfortable to grip, doesn't aggravate carpal tunnel. Very lightweight.

Disadvantages: Rubber grips tear after a year of use, and its hard to repair this yourself.

They are the BEST wheels and pushrims by far. No question about it. They make it easy and painless to push

Advantages: Painless push\only use your thumb to push, no squeezing needed\less hand pain. more effecient pushing. relatively light

Disadvantages: Expensive. these were selling at 838 back in 2014. why on earth are they selling for 300usd more now?

I got these wheels 6 months ago and am very happy with them. They are very light. They make pushing easier due to the rubber web between the pushrim and the wheel which provides a good grip plus a soft springy surface to push against with the thumb. In addition, there are tight doorways that I can get through with these wheels that I couldn't with my standard pushrims, because these pushrims will compress 1/2" to 1" or so (overall) to squeeze through a tight space.
I think these are the only wheels for me from now on.
