Comfort Company Elements Low Profile Cushion

First off, I have MS and I spend anywhere from 12 to 15 hours a day in my wheelchair. I'm 6 foot tall and weigh about 165 pounds. I was used to my 2-inch foam cushion that came with my wheelchair but I wanted something more comfortable. In late June 2022, I thought I would give this cushion a try. I thought it was much more comfortable than my foam cushion. I like it so much that I purchased a backup in February 2023. When I got my new cushion, it was then that I realized just how deflated or squished down my old cushion had gotten. I’ve been only using the new cushion for almost 3 months exactly and now, for some reason, I’m starting to have problems with pressure sores which I’ve never experienced before. I’m purchasing a different type of cushion from a different manufacturer to see if I can combat these pressure sores. I’m assuming these cushions were not designed for someone to spend all day sitting on them. The tough part is finding a cushion that will work that is no more than 2 to 3 inches thick.

Advantages: It's cheap. It is comfortable and the cushion cover can be easily cleaned.

Disadvantages: I just do not think it is designed for someone to sit on all day.
