The Wheel Comfort Padded Foot Plate is a wheelchair accessory with several uses; serving both medical and comfort purposes. Constructed of a hard molded plastic and soft closed cell foam, the Padded Foot Plate securely fastens to any foot rest by the use of Velcro, which makes taking it on and off easy and fast. The soft closed cell foam gives the bare feet a soft flat surface to rest on and helps prevent the feet from sliding off the foot plate.
The Padded Foot Plate mimics the height of the sole of a normal shoe, so when the user is barefoot, the pressure mapping of the chair does not change. The foot plate has sides that cure up to keep the feet from falling down between the foot rest and the caster and also helps promote proper feet and leg positioning while the user is going barefoot.
