Great customer service experience purchasing these hand rims. I did not measure the tire size properly & a representative from SportAid called to verify that I wanted the size I ordered because it was an unusual size. I really appreciate that SportAid reached out to me before the order went through so I would not have to return the incorrect size I originally ordered.
Advantages: Great product! Hands do not slip on these new hand rims- the grip is so much better than bare metal.
Disadvantages: They were pain in the butt to install. I recommend you plan to replace your tire inner tubes when you put these on.

This Airgrip is better than expected. I like to go out and push my wheelchair long distances. I get good grip in everyday use and when I put on gloves to go long distances it grips so well that there is little to no slippage. It’s also better than the Qgrip when going downhill, generating less heat. What I feel separates the most over. all the other hand rims I’ve tried is that when you scratch the sides, it’s no different than scratching your car. A thin line that stays small and thin. All other hand rims I’ve tried create gouges and sometimes begin peeling away. You can scratch this handrim constantly and have little or no effect on its gripping power. This handrim does get somewhat slippery when wet.
Advantages: Gripping power
Longevity
Less heat going downhill
Disadvantages: Slippery when wet

A beautiful handrim for most users.
Advantages: Lightwieght, Colorful, Good grip in a variety of weather conditions.
Disadvantages: Coating is not durable for a user where the handrim may come in contact with rough surfaces. An example would be a user who disassembles their wheelchair to enter a car, where the handrim will scrap along pavement or cement.

After trying nearly every handrim on the market, I may just have found my favorite. These rims are grippy, but without a coating that peels off.
Advantages: Lightweight, durable, clean look, inexpensive!
Disadvantages: Still slippery when wet and they make a metallic sound if using gloves to push.

I am a C5 with limited to no hand function, I purchased AirGrip handrims to replace 10 year old plastic coated handrims.
Advantages: Lightweight, good tackiness without being sticky feeling like plastic coated variants, perfect thickness, not too fat like standard plastic coated.
Disadvantages: Did not come with mounting hardware.
