Greg
I ordered these as they are similar to the MechPro gloves that Wells Lamont recently discontinued. They're a very good replacement for the MechPro gloves--well made, seemingly durable and comfortable. The one issue I've had is that I wore a size Large MechPro, and the Sportaid Large seems more like the old MechPro XL. I'm going to order a Sportaid size M to see if that fits a bit better.

As a follow up to my previous comment, I've been ordering the Medium size gloves and while they're a bit tight the first day or so, they quickly stretch to become very comfortable on my size Large hands. Also, the hook and loop closure material is better than in the past--before, I would have to sew a new strip of loop material on the closure tab within a couple weeks as the original loop field wore out quickly. On my current pair, which are approaching 3 months old, the hook and loop fastener is working great with no need for modifications.

I love these gloves. My new ultralight wheelchair has textured rims and I knew that my hands would soon be shredded. I was using fingerless sailing gloves but the rims were tearing the tips of my fingers and wearing through the synthetic palms, and I'm a musician. These gloves protect my hands very well.
Advantages: Pretty much as I wrote above. I think that the thickness of the gloves will help when the cold weather returns.
Disadvantages: I don't know if it's my fault but the stitching opened up on the middle finger. I may have been brushing the spokes.

I do my wheelchair shopping with Sportaid, They are always helpful, kind and the follow up is terrific. I have been using them for over a decade and have ordered wheelchairs, gloves, backpacks, etc. Here is to the next decade!!
Advantages: I bought Sportaid winter gloves for wheelchair and for the first time in the 30 years that I have been in a chair, my hands are warm and dry! Wow. It makes getting to and from work so much better.
Disadvantages: The glove fits loose but I do not find it a hinderance to my mobility in my manual chair.

I love these gloves. I've used many type of gloves, and what makes these different is there cut at the wrist - providing much more dexterity and maneuverability for wheeling. For years I used a product named "Mech Pro" that made gloves with this type of cut at the wrist for use by mechanics, plumbers, etc. They quit manufacturing them several years ago, and I could not find something similar until Sportaid began producing them.
Advantages: The flexibility at the wrist. The reinforced leather on the fingers and palms, and the breathability of the terrycloth back.
Disadvantages: None.
